Sustainability has long been critical to the success of industrial organizations. Industry is now operating in the new paradigm of an expanding scope of sustainability stakeholders and obligations spanning environmental, social, and governance (ESG) dimensions. ESG and “net-zero” decarbonization are board-level goals which can be difficult to operationalize, measure, and analyze. In industry, ESG and sustainability are closely tied to EHS, in fact roughly 50% of ESG reporting criteria are EHS centric.
