Every 18 months IFS gathers its users together for IFS World Conference – the IFS users group meeting. The previous event was held in Boston, May 2015. This October (2016), IFS hosted the event in its home country, Sweden. Approximately 1200 customers, prospects, partners, press and analysts, and IFS employees gathered for four days to hear from IFS about the company’s plans for the future, partners’ offerings in the area of services or functionality extensions, and from users on the success of their IFS implementations. This was the first such gathering since the private equity (PE) firm EQT acquired ownership of the company and some of the impact of that investment was obvious.
